The Birmingham office of Parkman White, LLP, represents clients throughout Alabama, in a wide range of legal matters including Bankruptcy, Civil Lawsuits, Criminal Defense, Divorce, DUI, White Collar Criminal Defense, and Wills and Probate. We regularly represent clients in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Ashville, Pell City, Cullman, Anniston, Hoover, Homewood, Vestavia Hills, Mountain Brook, Pelham, Bessemer, Columbiana, Oneonta, Gardendale, Fultondale, Irondale, Trussville, Leeds and throughout Jefferson, Shelby, Calhoun, Blount, Tuscaloosa, and St. Clair Counties in Alabama.

Prior to founding Parkman White, LLP, Jim Parkman and William White-a former prosecutor- tried cases against one another. But in 2003 they joined forces, establishing a national firm that focuses on white collar crime criminal defense, bankruptcy, and divorce cases.

“We can handle the most complex, high-profile criminal cases anywhere in the country, as well as DUI, criminal, bankruptcy, civil litigation, probate and domestic cases throughout Alabama, from our offices in Birmingham and Dothan,” White says. “Regardless of the case, we offer clients rigorous and sophisticated representation in a more cost-effective way than many of the larger firms.”

Attorneys at Parkman White, LLP have more than 100 years of combined experience in a wide range of practice areas, with a particular emphasis on courtroom litigation. Indeed, the firm is prepared to represent clients nationally or in any courtroom in Alabama. Parkman and White, meanwhile, have both been AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, a testament to the fact that their peers rank them at the highest level of professional experience.

Parkman, who has handled hundreds of major felony cases during his 34-year career, attributes the firm’s success to its extensive courtroom expertise: “Ultimately, whether you win or lose the case is in the jury’s hands, so in order to be successful for your clients you have to know how to deal with a jury. And we’ve been involved in hundreds of jury trials over the years, spending thousands of hours in front of juries.”
